Cabin Gas Plant

Cabin Gas Plant

Working with Natural Gas Supplier EnCana on construction of their Cabin Gas Plant, we’ve overcome difficult conditions:

  • Remote location 3 hours Northeast of Fort Nelson in the Horn River Basin
  • Complex logistics, as all materials must be trucked in on the Sierra-Yoho-Desan Road
  • Production in temperatures down to -30 Celsius

The remote location of the job site necessitated precise coordination between our operation and multiple contractors, meeting specific timelines for delivery. Extreme weather not only added a challenge to the setup of our Vince Hagen portable plant, we were also producing concrete in the same 30-below-freezing temperatures. Despite these conditions, we were able to ensure all CSA standards were met. With phases 1 and 2 of EnCana’s natural gas processing plant complete, we are now ready for the next four phases construction.
